If you have had trouble logging into your BlogPatrol account within the last two weeks, can you leave either a public comment on this post or a private email using our web contact form?
When you post your comment, please include:
- the URL or HTTP address of the blog that we are tracking for you. That way, we can internally review your account to help us figure out where there problems are.
- the operating system on your computer (e.g. Windows XP, MacOS, Linux, etc.).
the type and version of web browser you are using to access BlogPatrol (e.g., Internet Explorer ver 7, Mozilla Firefox ver 2, Safari ver 3, etc). - The reason why we're asking for this information is that we recently did a lot of development to fix bugs in the log-in and authentication process.
Naturally, if our users are having any problems logging in, then we want to know about it!
Thanks so much for your input.

my blog is at cvanson.blgospot.com
I use Windows Vista and Internet Explorer.
Lately, while I have logged in, it won't show my stats. If I click on "view all stats" or another menu option, it prompts me to re-log in.
Please advise. Email at c_vanson@yahoo.com
Thanks
My blog is http://seventhchords.blogspot.com/.
I use Windows XP. I have saved my username and password and whenever I type them in, I am told I have entered one or the other wrong ...when I havent!
Thanks for your comments, carina and gardenia. The login and authentication process is something that we had worked on as part of the version of BlogPatrol released on April 5. However, we will definitely re-review it and re-work on it to get it right.
My blog is expressandperspective.blogspot.com and I use Window Vista...I have the same problem as carina...I log in and I cannot view stats; I am sent back to the log in...
My email is misti.irvine@gmail.com
Smiles and Thanks!

Windows VISTA
IE 7
It keeps telling me that my information is wrong.
I'm at stevemegan.blogspot.com and I use both Firefox and Explorer.
It seems I get kicked out of my account as soon as I click on Statistics.

Windows XP and Firefox
same problem as carina and mistipearl... I log-in, hit view all statistics, and then it takes me back to the log-in screen. The only way for me to log in lately has been to act as though I am going to change my password, and then go to view all statistics.
Thanks

I use Windows XP.
I have the same problem as others - I log in but then can't see my stats and am prompted to re-login. This has been going on for months and I rarely get lucky enough to see my stats.
Thanks
I log in, get in. But when I click "Stats," I'm sent back to the log-in page. It's an endless loop.

Hi MistiPearl, Lizze, Megan, Leesh, Marketing Mamma, and jen x: Thanks for sharing all this info, which will help us to identify the issues causing the logging in/staying logged in problem.
I understand how aggravating it is to not have the stats reports available to you. It's disappointing for us as well to have thought that we fixed this problem only to find out that there is more fixing that must be done.
Our web developer is currently in the middle of fixing the time zone-wrong data issue, and as soon as that is fixed, we will switch gears and fix the "trouble logging in" issue once and for all.
Thanks so much for hanging in there with us, though... we WILL fix these issues!
this is really annoying. glad you're working on it.

same as carina - after I log in I go to check stats and it promps me to log in again... vicious cycle.
Still having probs....
Hi, I wanted to follow up with everyone to let you know that we have spent the last couple of days trying to duplicate this issue on our test servers, but we have not been able to duplicate the problem.
One solution which I have not mentioned before on this blog:
Can I ask everyone to try to clear the cache from the web browser that you are using to see if doing so will resolve the login problem?
For instructions on how to do this for your particular browser, visit
http://www.blogpatrol.com/clear-cache.php
Please let us know how this goes for you, as your feedback will inform our next step on this troublesome issue.
The problems are back on mine, too. Clearing the cache doesn't work. As previously, I can log in fine initially, but when I click on any of the stats menu items, I'm taken back to the log-in page, which will not accept my info and just keeps returning to a blank log-in page in an endless loop.
This is only happening with Firefox; no problems on IE.

OS: Windows XP
Browser: Firefox 2.0.0.14
jen x: Thanks for letting us know that the login issue has returned for you so that we can try to help you resolve the problem.
Can you try the following instructions to reset the cookies (not just the cache).
On our side, we will clarify our instructions so that clearing the cache will include resetting the cookies.
Grrrrr I log in, it says I'm logged in...but when I click on view all stats it tells me to log in again. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I've done it over and over and over and still no stats...it sucks. I guess it's because it's free? ARGH!
p.s. Because I tend to talk and THEN read...sorry about that. I am doing this from a brand spanking new computer. There shouldn't be any cache/cookie issues. It's the first time I'm doing this from this computer.
Keeps referring me to login page.

I am logged in, and once I even saw the name of the blog, but when I ask for stats, it keeps telling me to log in. kbscheidt@yahoo.com
Earlier, I was told that my password and name were wrong, which they weren't. I was sent a new password which worked once, but now I'm having the problem explained above.
Clearing the cache did work for me. Also the time is correct now.
Kay: Thanks for posting your comment on this issue along with your info. I'm glad to hear that the issue is resolved for you now. Earlier today, our web developer made a change that I think will solve the problem for everyone.
Lori, Jen X, and Not Just Any Jen: Can you each try to clear your web browser cookies and cache once again?
Our developer has made a change which I think may solve everyone's login problems.
If you get a chance, please let us know via public comment or private message if you are able to login and stay logged into your account.
